I recently became fascinated by a brilliant, Russian painter by the name of Vladimir Kush. His style, which he calls "Metaphorical Realism," strikes a chord for me because running through much of his art is a sense of adventure; subtly reminding us that the world is full of discoveries yet to be made, places yet to see, journeys yet to undertake. Admittedly, his art obviously depicts a world very different than ours, but the idea still holds up. Well, here are a few of his paintings, you can see more here.
